NazSultan Posted November 26, 2014 Report Share Posted November 26, 2014 Forgive me if I sound like a car snob (but I am one), finally got an answer out of my salesman about the loan car, which was apparently available to me Monday 17th and wasn't! They are loaning me a 1.2 golf sI didn't expect a loan R, but considering there is a 3/4 month delay on my £36k 300bhp car, couldn't they get me something a bit less rubbish?! I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I was expecting to get out of my high spec nice Audi and into my high spec and fast golf! I hear what you're saying but loan cars are always going to 'basic'. Ordered 10th October, was told it would be March. That is 5 months!! When someone drove into my bright Rising blue Scirocco on a nice sunny day as if it wasn't there (while I was parked up by my wife's place of work, waiting for her to finish), the other party's insurers were quick to get me into anything I wanted at my local Enterprise. I was happy enough to get a BMW 320D, but Enterprise insisted on putting me in a Merc ML350 because they wanted to spend as much of Churchill's money as possible and wouldn't allow me a BMW 320D at half the daily cost even though they had 2 in. I got the ML home (very nice apart from the handbrake on the dash) and about 4 hours later, whiplash kicked in hard and I had to ask them to take it away. I got to use it for 3 miles all in. Apparently there is a shortage of parts that they are waiting on and once these are sorted most dates should come forward. However due to back log any orders placed now are being quoted 32 weeks!! Yikes. I also asked my dealer about my original lease quotation after hearing people have had a new price thrown at them when signing.
