Been looking at a R for last few months but jeez over to my local stealers to be told a new build 50 week wait

Tried to sell me one that will have nearly 10k miles one owner at 30k and wouldn't give me a penny off

Needless to say no deal done

Forgive me if I sound like a car snob (but I am one), finally got an answer out of my salesman about the loan car, which was apparently available to me Monday 17th and wasn't! They are loaning me a 1.2 golf s

I didn't expect a loan R, but considering there is a 3/4 month delay on my £36k 300bhp car, couldn't they get me something a bit less rubbish?!

I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I was expecting to get out of my high spec nice Audi and into my high spec and fast golf!

50 week wait? I think I might just sell my slot for £5k and keep the GTD a bit longer.

Which of our North East dealership groups was that Parmo? Benfield/Pulman/Lookers? Even if they'd well oversold their allocation for the forseeable, 50 weeks is way too long for a Golf, even the best Golf ever made (allegedly). I think they just really wanted you to buy that nearly new car.

If you've not got the p/x to worry about and can't get a decent deal locally, i'd be going straight to the broker sites (i'm assuming you're wanting to buy rather than lease).

That's BS IMO as he has one sitting on his forecourt which he'd much prefer to sell to you rather than ordering in a new one.
