NickA Posted March 10, 2015 Report Share Posted March 10, 2015 I had an A45 on order last year but cancelled in the end because I just couldn't get my head around the total cost of it (£42k ish with options although I managed to negotiat the options for free!) Bloody hell, I can't believe it takes so long to build and ship a bloody Golf at the end of the day!!!! Dealer told me UP TO 20 weeks and that was on the 2nd of October!!! As others have said, it gets worse once the car gets built (BW10 for mine!) cos you're forever checking the online tracker, checking the ships out of Emden, waiting for emails from VW etc etc. I wasn't so bothered until the actual build week but now it's a daily wait for news. We use suppliers who specialise in new vehicle deliveries, who use computer systems specifically designed for the purpose I reckon it's more Dick Dastardly and Mutley doing the work and they've got a ZX Spectrum 128k for the computer system! I can honestly say I have never been excited about ships in my life and when this is all over I will never again! Not due in though until evening of the 12th. Is there anybody on here who has been waiting longer than me? I have been on stage 3 since mid Feb and watching the tracker like a fat kid watching a pie! What makes matters worse my GT86 will be going this weekend as got a decent offer on it. So I will be car less for at least a month! WHEN THE HELL IS MY CAR COMING?
