TTE525 Development

Recommended Posts

Sorry Matt_Whitto / Pocket Rocket but removed my build thread sometime ago now.

Plenty run around on stock internals and seem to be fine but like all these builds, longevity is not really tested as they are all still reasonably new.

Mine has full forged blueprinted balanced bottom end including gas flowed head, super finished crankshaft, bored block, custom pistons, custom rods, pins, valve springs, head studs, race bearings, gaskets, bolts, covers and seals.

Car is not ready yet been circa 6 months in development which is the downside to a more full on build but hey.

Will post a small write-up once I've had it back and on the road for a bit.

Regards

Not much more to report I'm afraid.

Car remains with MRC Tuning who are just doing the final few upgrades.

Just ended up constant progression, I would do one thing, then it would be like I may as well do that while I'm at it and so on.

It's now at the point where there really isn't that much left that can be upgraded bar brakes. Audi Ceramics don't fit under 19" Pretoria's and I'm not interested in alternative alloy look, has to be stealth OEM appearance so still looking at alternatives on the Ceramic Braking front.

Engine is in though upgraded from Race Developments, Billet Manifold is on which is custom MRC Tuning, Forrest Industries Mounts and VWR Dog Bone are on, Leyo Oil Catchment is on, not sure yet on DSG Oil Cooler but if not yet will be soon enough, Revised APR DQ250 Clutchpacks are on, Ohlins and Wavetrac are on along with all other Sway Bars, Control Arms, Bushes and the like.

Plan is to get it all up and running on the TTE525R and then that's coming straight off as great turbo it is it was never going to be enough for me.

Upgrade is on stand by so if I can get through without any teething problems once running that will be on soon enough and then it will be time to hold onto your hat.

Once it's returned I will post up some pictures and a review from a new thread.

It's been out of the game since late last year so all previous photos are from purchase through Stage 1 to first stab at Stage 3 all night/day stuff to where it is now.
