  1. Thanks, No that was taken last year at the Appreciating Classics meet in Thurton, Norfolk...
  2. Mk1 golf gti, wife’s Astra (horrid thing), vw caravelle for family duties. and a cbr1000rr, gsxr750, and ducati 749r. I like my toys!
  3. Im in Norwich, though mines standard!! May be worth trying to get a few to one of the local meets - AC have a meet in Thurton last tuesday of the month...
  4. I find it useful, logs journeys, records when I refuel for accurate MGP / fuel recording (helpful for business expenses), marks where I've parked the car and tells me when its time to refuel (not that I can;t work that out myself)... The dealer gave me another for my caravelle too.
  5. My other golf is a 1982 Mk1 GTI, its a nice change to have (lightly servo'd) brakes that you need to stomp on, no power steering, an accelerator pedal directly connected to the fuel injection butterflies, an da car weighing under 800kg's with 13" wheels... My boys love it, though were initially confused when I asked them to wind the window up...
  6. Mine fires up if I ease off the brake slightly. Find it fine to be honest.
  7. Another vote for Dynaudio, it really is very good. ive not driven a car without dcc, but it works! Sunroof is nice, but not essential. Keyless is great, I really appreciate it!

Ask for the connect plug to be fitted; they’re giving them away anyway. The salesman put another in my glove box for my caravelle too. i found the service great at my local dealer, and have had follow up calls to.
  9. Having had mine for a whole 3 days, my comments on my options: DCC - really wanted this, though i've not driven a car without it. Like the difference it makes. Pano Roof - Wasn't fussed (I'd rather the car was cheaper). However it does make the car lighter, and my 1 year old loves it! Keyless - Wasn't fussed, finding it very useful. Dynaudio - Again, didn;t specifically look for a car with it. LOVE IT! best stereo i've ever had (including aftermarket!) Pro Nav - Wasn't fussed. Nice to have larger screen I suppose. Really wanted heated seats, but that was the compromise I made. Not missing them yet. Never had LED lights, so can;t comment really...
  10. Having skimmed this thread, I didn;t see anything specific.. Has anyone tried the vinyl sill protectors found on ebay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MK6-Mk7-Golf-R-Side-Door-Sill-Protectors-Hard-wearing-vinyl-5-door-stickers-/122717819758?hash=item1c928d536e:g:ioEAAOSwP4ZZw8N-) Look good value, and would suit the car. I need something, otherwise my kids will scratch them, and I wanted an alternative to the lockwood ones...
  11. Today's the day! Anything specific I should look for / ask for / do when I first get the keys? Already asked about vw connect, and they've fitted the dongle (and put a spare aside for my caravelle). Hopefully should come with a full tank of super!
  12. I just bought a 16 plate with 8000 miles and lots of options (inc 2 from your list) for that budget from a dealers, so you shouldn’t struggle!!
  13. Cadiz, though wasn’t bothered as I want some OZ’s when it next needs tyres!
  14. And today I put down a deposit on a lapiz blue 5 door DSG, 8000 miles, non-lease (didn’t bother me), DCC, pro nav, app connect, pano sunroof, keyless go, Dynaudio, and the 90% tints. Pick it up Tuesday, it’s going to be a long weekend!
