  1. You dont don’t know me at all do you Charlie 🤣🤣
  2. Yeah I’ve had some thoughts about what I’d get next when the time comes to get a more exciting car. The thought of an S3 has come and gone since we were destroying them so easily at the Pod in our R’s. By a fairly significant margin too. Rs3 would be amazing if I could ever afford one but I’d still feel gutted getting owned by a golf R with a moderate level of tune. Again, I was stunned that we were taking them down at the Pod in our R’s easily enough. Maybe a BMW.......never owned one, but I’d really, really love the drama of a c6.3 Mercedes......ohhhh that sound 👹 !!!!!
  3. Hopefully 6-12 months pal......🤞
  4. Hope everyone’s good !! Been a few weeks now and still mourning the loss of my R !!!! The Pass-shat just doesn’t cut it. I’m just waiting for things to settle once we move home and then I’m hoping to get back in an R........eventually.....I’ve got a plan. This time it’ll be an estate though as it’s the only thing I like about my Passat🤣 Ive still got my old R as wallpaper on the mobile so it keeps reminding me i need one back in my life.
  5. They will be fine unless you wear your glasses 90 degrees wonky 🤣🤣🤣 Then it will be a total blackout. That’s the way the polarity works on these lenses.
  6. 🤣🤣 I’d already been thinking about a golf R engine insertion before slapping my own face !!!!!
  7. Oops, someone answered already, should have read the previous posts better ☺️
  8. Hi Jon I had the squeaky felt door seals around the rear door shuts. After lots of research I found it was a common problem and found the fix somewhere here on the forum. The product is called........wait for it..........gummi pflege......not a typo !!!! Basically I cleaned and dried the car followed by a dose of this stuff around the door shuts and the annoying squeak was gone !!! If you’ve got felt/rubber seals anywhere around the sunroof, they dry out a bit and cause the squeak. Ive still got the stuff. I don’t mind sending it to you, you can have it as I no longer have use for it 😥. The stuff works a treat and was much cheaper than the Krytox stuff.
  9. Congratulations Jay........all the very best to you both 💐 Im saying nothing, but I hope you don’t need a more practical car toooo soon 😉 I’m willing to swap it for my freshly aquired Passat when you’re ready 🤣🤣😜
  10. Sounds like you’re very lucky to be alive, you never really know what fate has in store for you. Just enjoy life every day while you can !!
  11. Still looking forward to attend. Maybe they’ve looked at some of the shortcomings from last years show and planned for some improvements to better the experience this year.........or just maybe, it’ll still be shiyte 🤣🤣
  12. That’s it then, the R’s in my final day of ownership. All cleaned up, back to almost stock and ready to go. The last dime it will ever grace my driveway 😞😢
  13. WOW, I’m not generally a Ford man.......but jeez I’d love that car in my garage......shame it’s hidden not driven, but it’s only done 41 miles 😣.......Oh the dilemma. What would you do ?? Id be tempted to remove the original engine and have a donor one rebuilt to a high spec and drive it a bit on sunny days. It would still be worth a fourtune put back to stock. I mean really, how much pleasure can you get from a car you don’t use. It’s been turned into an investment that’s taken it away from, and out of reach of true genuine enthusiasts !!!
  14. Just put my VWR Pipe, 90 elbow and turbo muffler delete up in the ad section for decent price 😉 Just noticed it not a live ad yet though !!
  15. Haha, my friend bought one of those in the 90’s as he was building a race mini. He rebuilt and transferred the engine and turbo from the metro into the mini. What was left of the metro was so rusty it wasn’t worth selling. I remember three of us beating it into manageable chunks with a sledge hammer and 2 angle grinders so we could fit it into the back of his parents Peugeot estate to take it to the tip !!!! We managed it in 2 or 3 runs from memory 😁.......good times
