Wish I had an update, coming up to a month since I was first told I'd get the car, which has been sat in the UK for a week and a half.

Been an absolute fight to get any updates from VWFS/VWCS, seems no one gives a shit when you're a leaser, really sours the whole experience.

About ready to cancel the damned thing :(

I really hate this assumed notion that you should be treated worse if you're a leaser (as I am). The leasing deals came from VW directly, so why should dealers or anyone else regard us with contempt for taking them up on their own offer? Surely the dealers should be happy that VW have given them an outstanding offer which will help them sell lots of new cars and acquire new customers? I assume their commission rates (from VW) or volume bonuses would be unaffected, regardless of the method of finance a customer chooses?

I took delivery of my car 2 weeks ago... I leased through CVL, but I had all my dealings through Sinclar Cardiff. They were superb through out the whole experience. I also had a 10 day hold up at the port.... Very frustrating, but worth the wait in the end!!!

I do too, and I hope that we aren't treated differently just because we're not keeping it forever, But likewise I sure as hell hope full paying customers aren't getting treated like I have been. Every step of the way has been a fight to get updates/info. from my order not being placed for 2 1/2 weeks after being told it was to chasing on "guaranteed weekly updates" after months of nothing (I don't care if the update is the same every week, if you've told me you'll mail weekly, do it.)

I'm now sat in the middle of VWFS and the Dealers going "blame them!" and no closer to having a car or updates :(

That's really crap but I don't think the 'service' you're (not) getting is as a result of being a leaser. Poor service is inherent in the whole industry. I was promised regular weekly updates too but never had a single one. My expectations were low though! Most people on here have had a similar experience and have had to check the tracker, chase their dealer, ring VWCS, tweet the pope, etc etc just to get a vague update.

Speaking of which, have you tried calling VWCS or tweeting the pope?

Heh yeah, I guess I feel a bit hard done by because i've bought new Audis in the past, had great times and feedback and well, it's the same company pretty much :)

Spoke with VWCS a few times, "oh well shouldn't you be ringing your finance contact?"

And the Holy See says I should've bought a Merc :D

Mine is with CVL it's only been a month so far as I said but the guy selling the lease told me Vienna leather doesn't come heated in his words "only the much more expensive leather comes heated" which I have since found out that Vienna does come heated (typical clueless salesman). I've ordered cloth with winter pack because of this, I was a bit evil when I found out.

When I have sent proofs etc you get no feedback to say they have received them or that they are ok etc, so far it has just seemed that as soon as I agreed to the contract they don't care.

I got my 5c last Friday.  The boat docked at Tyne last Friday early evening and the car was off-loaded at some point during the evening.  The paperwork was processed on Monday and the tracker moved to Stage 6 on Tuesday.

Still waiting for a call / email / update telling me the car is at the dealers or imminently arriving.  I'm hoping for a quick turnaround when it arrives as the car was paid in full at the start of this week.

BW10. Nothing. Have many Bw10ers had a text this week? Tracker still says stage 3.

Mine's a BW10 and was showing stage 3 on Tuesday and then jumped to stage 5 (No sms or emails though to notify me of the update)

I didn't realise you could do this, it's my first lease, when my 2 years lease is up I'll look into it more before considering a second lease.  Are you still getting a good deal while going through the dealership direct?
