I’m still looking for static non-BE static R center caps

Cancelled my order at LLL as they couldn’t tell me which it is (BE or not)

Any online seller offering WW shipping with modest pricing ?

all I found was a German site that won’t ship out of EU

Already got the blue suction cups from AliEx 🙂

Mate I can get them for you from where I got mine and post them out to you no problems 👍

Oh no, I’m starting to take your lack of trust in my part number posting personally 🤪🤣

The part number you want is 5H0-601-171-B-FOD (FOD is the colour code for “black/chrome”). Here’s a pic:

The BE static ones are P/N 5H0-601-171-A-721 (721 being the colour code for “black/grey”)

It’s not you I’m doubting, it’s the inline stores who won’t say “yes, that’s the one”, while usually I have no problem getting them to say it.

Now they claim it is an aftermarket part so they can’t guarantee it (what does that have to do with it ?).

But I may take advantage of your kindness

once I decide 80£ makes sense for wheel caps 🙂

Is there a point to purchase 5 (to have a spare) or is it superfluous as these never get lost ?
(I has MOMO wheels in a GTI, that lost their center caps frequently)

Haha, all good, I was totally just being silly!!

I have never lost an OE centre cap from an OE wheel, so I would def not be worried about that!

Just ordered the EZ-Mods airbag delete stickers in the large R size.

Good decision!  They are such an improvement on the awful airbag stickers.  One of the first things I bought for mine. Got a set of each as I like to have big R on one side and small R on the other.

Yes! I've been meaning to do this.

I've just ordered mine 🥳

I went with the small R

I have been watching too many YouTube videos on car restoration, vehicle mods etc and noticed the power ratchet wrenches which seem very useful for confined spaces and make fastening and unfastening nuts, bolts, Torx fasteners much easier.

I have a lot of Snapon tools in 3/8 and 1/4 drive size so - ended up buying two Milwaukee M12 Fuel Long reach ratchet wrench one with 1/4 drive head and another with 3/8 drive head - I have tried then out on various fixings on the Golf and they work very well.

Counting on @Swerve and @blizzard60

I just ordered those from LLLPARTS

I hope this time it’s with the right PN (FBOD)

as previous order was for the A721

Both guys had the same PN, so it should be the right one.

For anyone interested, LLL have a good price for them, comes to 77€ including shipping (or VAT in UK).
