AgentFruit
Another one not specific to the R is the drivers windscreen wiper smearing, i had mine replaced on day one due to them skipping but they're still smearing, might need to get them changed again. I can't for the life of me remember where I read this, but I've seen this was a recall on other VW's previously. Was it R32's? Changing wiper blades doesn't fix it, and I can't remember why either. Fat lot of help!
Danno
Yeah my drivers wiper is skipping when the screen is a little bit dry, i.e. after most of the water has gone...

Jimble
There is a post on the GTI forum about swopping to Bosch blades I thought it was, Jimble ?? It's over on the Golf7 forum, a lot of people are swapping them for Bosch Aerotwins but i shouldn't be expected to pay for them really. http://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=
Wylie Coyote
Bit of a saddo one, but does anyone who had the reversing camera on their 6R find the new one is nowhere near as good? Not only does the park assist get in the way, the vertical elements on the lines make things more difficult...

I agree with this, i don't like the fact you can't hide the park assist image by default and the green lines are too big, much preferred the old yellow ones. I thought the GTI 7 one was faulty and the R one the same very difficult to read/judge . Running Man
Happy with mine at £
AgentFruit
Happy with mine at £160 Quite so. The relative maths of the options doesn't add up does it? For a couple of tanks of fuel, that was one not leave off.
tamiyoman
I left it off as it was only a gimmick to me (I have a neck that turns ), if the nect owner wants it he can get it retrofitted
CinnamonRage
Went for it as had it in the last car (was default then, not a chosen extra). Kind of get used to it - almost dependent on it, whether you want to or not ;-) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Doohie
I have found that if you create or choose a driver profile selection with the engine at sport mode, it only remains active until you turn off the car completely. After that you'll need to re-select the desired profile again if you want the engine back on sports mode. Despite the fact that you can not see this into the settings you can hear clearly the difference if you take your foot off the accelerator. In sport mode, the exhaust makes a nice gurgling.. otherwise it sounds flat.
Jimmy Filth
That's the London air, the R needs at least 21% oxygen to work properly :)
Running Man
Air pollution is the introduction of chemicals, particulates, biological materials, or other harmful materials into the Earth's atmosphere, possibly causing disease, death to humans, damage to other living organisms such as food crops, or the natural or built environment. The downside of running any combustion car including the 7R.............but worth it for now
