Doohie
I have found that if you create or choose a driver profile selection with the engine at sport mode, it only remains active until you turn off the car completely. After that you'll need to re-select the desired profile again if you want the engine back on sports mode. Despite the fact that you can not see this into the settings you can hear clearly the difference if you take your foot off the accelerator. In sport mode, the exhaust makes a nice gurgling.. otherwise it sounds flat. Have you got a manual or DSG. Mine is DSG and seems to remember it correctly. Two things for me. 1. The sound thingy at fully throttle is bottoming out. Like it can't handle the volume. 2. This morning on my way in to London the revs didn't stay stable in a traffic jam. They went down to thousand'ish to then raise to fifteenhundred'ish to then drop and rise again. Very odd. I think ill book it in to get it checked over. Thx for your feedback dejongj.. I think it's the flapper mod that I have conducted which creates this issues. Best I can do to check this is attaching the valves back in. Now you get an error from VCDS ..which is perfectly normal..told that both motors that operate the valves do not work 99% sure that this engine sports mapping reset back to normal by the issues. Had hoped that several manual riders went respond on it. I am surprised that there are not many who have done the flapper mod.

AgentFruit
Both my rear doors have started creaking when opening. Smeary wiper drivers side Badly fitted window rubber rear window drivers side, clearly visible at factory stage.
JPM
Found some drops of rain inside the passenger door. Window and door had not been opened and no obvious signs of water ingress. Will do a hose test. Smeary/ juddery wiper Delay in power delivery when accelerating hard (DSG) Sound actuator rattle. Putting all that aside - what a car this is. 182_blue
Is the latch loose ?
Cobinho
I noticed water gets in through the seals on my rear doors. Along the top the rubber seal has a small kink where the opening rear window meets the fixed window at the top of the door. Water hasnt actually got onto seats etc.il keep an eye on this as it shouldnt pass the seals full stop.
1rgolfdub
No latch is secure but i think its a lock/latch problem just needs adjusted.

I have flapper mod and mine doesn't do this - I can't see how disconnecting exhaust flaps can have an effect on much else apart from the flaps. The ROD error mentioned early on is the flapper mod - makes no difference to anything else.
veewiz
On my DCC car I get suspension rattles on crumbling road surfaces when in Comfort mode (although haven't noticed them recently and been meaning to check transit blocks have been removed)
neilje
Delay in power delivery when accelerating hard (DSG) When you say 'power delivery' are you referring to the time it takes to change gear. I have had a couple of occasions when starting off hard in 'sport' where the rev limiter cuts in before the DSG box changes gear. It's as if it doesn't realise. Acceleration stops briefly while it realises it needs to change up. It is more noticeable from 1st to 2nd, although I have had it 2nd to 3rd. Bloody annoying when you're showing someone 'how quick it is'. Anyone else noticed it?

'm just glad I'm not the only one, but I am still wondering what it could be.. maybe it's the kind of media radio type..ppfff.. I dont now register this case at VW dealership
AgentFruit
Add to my list incorrectly fitted drivers door seal, bottom corner. Very lumpy gear change 2-1 using paddles. Big delay changing down when nearly at a standstill.
