VvrooomM
Brand new door seals for you. If they shut easily and leaked water in you'd be more upset!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
chrisB
Rattle/knock from exhaust centre box fixed by Bradford VW - rubber hanger was not seated properly. It helped that I was able to demonstrate it to the tech rather than making a vauge 'noise from somewhere' complaint.

joinery80
Ha ha Mine hasn't got any of these problems I
ChapFromRutland
To be fair, a lot of those issues probably wouldn't have developed so soon post delivery or been present at delivery had the dealers in questions spent a little more car PDI'ing the cars properly. Could it be that demand is so high that the standard of quality checking is dropping at the factory?
ChapFromRutland
That's one advantage to having not got ours yet though - I can report that as yet we have no problems with the build quality of our car. The long wait will give me time to enrol in an anger management class so that I am fully prepared for when it does finally turn up
Stubsy
Ahh thought I'd might join this little grumble thread. My rear passenger window on a 5 door will only operate on first starting up the car. After that it will not function. Was faulty from day 1. They want to take the car off me for a week to send it off and fix it! Also has anyone noticed that when driving at night, the illuminated switch for the headlights is reflected in the side window right where you look for your wing mirror, considering how well laid out the dash is, it's a tiny detail which kinda ruins the ambience
OnTheMike
Forums are a wonderful place if you want to read about all of the possible problems as people naturally share bad experiences rather than good. Who has seen a thread starting... 'My golf R is perfect with no problems whatsoever'.
quattrogmbh
I only have (3) and (6) (3) is an easy fix. (6) I blame myself for using gtechniq C1 on the screen.
quattrogmbh
Its the forum troubles which give me anxiety... :-)
PeteC
An excellent summary of just how terrible a car this is. I personally made mine even worse with my spec choices, firstly by choosing an dreadful colour and putting what is clearly hard plastic 'leather' on the seats. Then I popped a sunroof on there which added a colossal amount of weight to the roof, dangerously raising the centre of gravity. Fortunately I went with the hideous Cadiz alloys, which not only are truly offensive to look at, despite their ludicrously tiny size of 18", add so much non flow-forged weight to the corners I have destroyed any performance I might have enjoyed. Of course fortuitously all this weight added by the wheels has countered the sunroof issue, thereby avoiding the car toppling 'elk test' style in corners. Yep. Forums rock.
