Very economical, maybe helped along by the very hot ambient temps. Impressive, think the best I’ve seen is 35mpg[emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I love it, feels so much more special and actually stands out as a retrimmed wheel. The Mrs has a gtd and when she drives mine she also comments how nice the wheel is to hold compared to her own. If I was doing it again I’d spec it exactly the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They’ll be fine for normal road use. Probably feel identical to the oem pads Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah I order most of my stuff from Autodoc if I’m not in a hurry, used to be 6 days from ordering until delivery but since Brexit it’s nearly 2 weeks. Anyone ordering from them should check prices before ordering because things can be much cheaper on a Monday than any other day of the week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Creations Motorsport Intercooler Offer. (Advice)

I went with the DO88 Intercooler, Intake temps really plummet when pushing on. Lots run stage 2 without Intercooler but for reliability and increased performance in all temps it’s worth it. I fitted mine during the really warm spell and found the car performs the same at 20 degrees as it does at 8 degrees, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I don’t know of anyone who’s fitted one although their items are usually just a rip off copy of a known brand. Very cheap and I’m sure it’ll be much better than the stock cooler. Be interesting to hear your opinion if you do go for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I asked for raised thumbs on mine and thicker wheel, is the original wheel thicker at the bottom already? Top measurement done at 12 o’clock Bottom measurement done about 5 o’clock area Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Burger Tuning JB4 information thread

Sounds like a terrible experience dealing with them. If your tied to them on a lease plan there’s not an awful lot you can do and by the SKU dsg if things the more you complain the more they go out of their way to be awkward. Interested to hear how things go today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I run a P3 gauge that’s plugged in to my obd port and would go absolutely crazy if they refused to do an emissions test. It does sound like a garage to avoid Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Did they actually do an emissions check? If so did they give you the failure printout for the emissions? Must be an absolute jobs worth if they failed a car for having a tuning box fitted and not actually doing the test. Is there any warning lamps displayed on the dashboard? Clubsport S brake disc upgrade - worth it or not?
marshy replied to ChazR's topic in Modifying your Golf R MK7
Having tried lots of brake combinations on this and my previous R.and Gti On my previous R I opted for ebc drilled and grooved discs with yellow stuff pads. Discs bells rusted pretty quickly and the yellow stuff were terrible with crap cold bite and squeal. My Gti I fitted clubsport discs and clubsport pads, didn’t rate the clubsport pads over the standard pads. My current R I fitted Porsche Macan calipers with clubsport discs and redstuff pads, after 900 miles the redstuff pads fell apart. I then fitted ds2500 pads which were excellent, I sold the Macan calipers and pads after upgrading my wheels which wouldn’t clear the calipers without spacers. Then I ran clubsport discs with Racingline rp700 pads same as what I run on the rear and this was an excellent setup with fantastic bite but not as strong from high speed as the Macan calipers. Now have the Racingline stage 2 kit that is by far the best setup option I’ve used on any of my Golfs. For normal road use the clubsport discs with clubsport pads or the Racingline pads I mentioned with braided hoses is an excellent compromise instead of the cost of a bbk. Clubsport S brake disc upgrade - worth it or not?

Only done about 10 miles but the difference in pedal feel is huge! I do think initial bite with my clubsport setup was stronger but after that the Racingline kit is much much stronger. Having used the Porsche Macan calipers previously I can confirm these are quite a bit stronger to them. Obviously I need to get some miles on them but so far I’m very happy. Pretty much exactly what I thought when I seen them. Haven’t done any measurements but it certainly looks like the swept area is smaller. Once I fit the other side tomorrow I’ll see how they perform. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve in the process of fitting my Racingline stage 2 brake kit, If I’m happy then I’ll be listing my clubsport discs and Racingline RP700 pads and Hel braided hoses in classifieds. All purchased new by me in March this year and done approx 2000 miles so fantastic condition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Picked up a good used Racingline stage 2 brake kit. Fitted one side today and will do the other tomorrow. Need to repaint the rear calipers to match now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Original prets need 11mm spacers with Macan calipers. That gives around 3mm clearance, you could probably get away with 10 but 11mm leaves a decent clearance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What you cutting it with? I bought one of those chain cutters from eBay to do mine. Was a perfect smooth cut and fully reversible come sale time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Absolutely no affect on engine running. Res delete is much further back than any catalyst or sensors so the car doesn’t even know it’s fitted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There should only be 3 in that area Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pretty sure there’s 3 dots on the original and you cut the middle one. Double check but that’s from memory when I fitted mine to my previous R Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
