If I was Apr stage 2 I certainly wouldn’t be making the jump. your running a tried and tested map with no issues I presume?

Anyone else experiencing problems where tapatalk isn’t working on this forum? Seems to work on other forums ok but not worked on here for a couple of days. Checked and it hasn’t done an update recently so not because of that.

Dirty Performance Pack / Clubsport Brake hubs

Wonder if oven cleaner might’ve worked? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
About 2 weeks ago the passenger side came off whilst washing the wife’s 2016 car, luckily I caught it and refitted with double sided tape. Yesterday she was driving along and the drivers fell off and smashed on the road! Ordered a pair of aftermarket replacements so I’ll see how long they last. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve known Mark for a few years and as much as it’s an expensive failure he’s done the right thing being open. Hate all the tuners that keep hush hush so people don’t know what can happen. Really brings home the message of you pay to play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Probably more to do with the warmer weather we’ve been having [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A very good video for Awesome and shows how honest and genuine they are. Lots of tuners would’ve tried the put it back to stock and try for warranty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Error! Cornering Light (AFS) / Dipped Headlights

Do you have any codes in the engine control unit? This usually gives the acc and stop start warning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
It’s a shame that the scumbags will get away with it. Surely the police could check his or your car for finger prints to see if they match his? That would involve them doing work so doubt that’ll happen. I wouldn’t be able to settle if my R was on the street, especially after disturbing someone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have heard of cases like this where the ecu needs to be sent to the hq in Germany for them to extract flash dates and times Don’t think anyone dealer level will see this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Would be very interested who has mapped it then. Obviously not a decent tuner like Revo or APR since there’s been no attempt to do anything with the flash counter. What age is the car? As you have a problem I’d be looking to hand the car back for a refund. Out of interest have you checked the launch counter in the gearbox ecu with vcds? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

These wheels fit the Gti performance with the same front brakes as the R so yeah 100% fit[emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah they’ll fit fine. R runs 235:35:19 and your gtd will be 225/35/19 Would probably benefit from some wheel spacers since they’re only 7.5 wide though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not arsed really, part of the risk when you modify. That’s why I don’t try and hide anything Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My cars been in for bonnet lining sunroof etc and never had any quibble, although nothing to do with any mods. When it goes in for service I just send it in with map on and intake springs brakes everything. Never anything mentioned. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No the flash dates are consistent with when the car was made. Not sure how at dealer level they can apply this flag. Normally the car needs plugged in and connected to VW Germany and they can download the info which shows dates and times. So you need to check if your vcds check is consistent with when the car was made. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Couldn’t agree more. In my opinion Penguin has been more than patient and isn’t being unreasonable in what he expects. Doesn’t matter how busy a place is Penguin waited his turn to get the work done and should expect the work done and finished correctly. In the rare cases that things do go wrong the garage in question should bend over backwards to make things right. I feel Penguin has listed his genuine issues with the work done and isn’t trying to bash Rtech but probably has opened lots of people’s eyes on what to expect. Hope you get this sorted Penguin and soon[emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Had my R insured through LV for the last year and this renewal is £115 higher than I paid last year! Aviva have matched last years price so needless to say I’ve left LV. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why couldn’t the op use main dealer for servicing? My 19 plate is modified and has had both first and second year services done at the dealer. Had warranty on non engine related items with no questions asked. Obviously if I experienced a drivetrain problem I wouldn’t have the nerve to try and claim on warranty, which is probably why the dealers never bothered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah that’s mine on top of the liner which I assumed was correct as I can wash any dirt away behind. I had messaged automotive passion and they have confirmed that they do go behind the arch liner! I’ve had these for 18 months fitted the wrong way[emoji1787] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I tried changing one on the wife’s car but not sure I like the carbon against the wing for scratching the paint over time? Not sure now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
