So missus had a little skid in the R. She’s ok but the car not so much. It all looks minor apart from the wheel which seems cosmetic but ? not repairable in a diamond cut wheel. Mine will stop and then restart when car in front drives away. If ACC on it’ll then usually set off itself but sometimes needs a tiny touch on the accelerator to set it off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mine lives on all year round in all my cars. Can’t say I have ever been able to tell a difference in performance or fuel consumption. If you're cheap/whilst waiting for your case you could use a microwave because they have a Faraday cage built into them.

So re-downloaded and this time no errors on unzipping. Do I just copy across the maps folder or do I also need to copy across the .md5 file?

Downloaded that file and extracted it. Got a long list of errors from winrar although the folders look good - is that normal?

cheers rob. yeh so works when connected to house wifi (no stately home but must have lead paint because signal is pretty naff). The dongle might be the way to go but i don't know how much i'll use the services yet. I just refuse to have something not work in a new car! In other news I used discovercare to update the maps and instead of updating them its corrupted them so no sat nav at the minute. suspect i'll have to format the card and either retry, reinstall the backup, or download the maps elsewhere to put on

So loving my new R, however I can't seem to get anything that requires data to work. I can WLAN connect to my iphones hotspot but despite a valid connection carnet just says no data connection. Anyone know of a quick fix or got any suggestions?
