  1. Wow, from a parenting point of view that’s terrible. The lesson today kids is run from your problems rather than doing the right thing. Karma will find him as will your insurance company we hope. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That’s a great help. I do a fair bit of motorway driving and don’t tend to push the car hard. Think I’ll swap the rears to the front and get some new ones on the rear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hello Guys, So passed my MOT yesterday with an advisory my fronts are at 3mm. Obviously it’s approaching new tyre time but I just wondered what your thoughts were? Shall I just do the fronts or change all 4? The rears are at around 4.5mm. Cheers, Stu Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I know what you mean. It depends on the conditions. In rush hour I use the minimum gap setting. You can still use the throttle when you feel people starting to nudge in. It’s taken me a while to get used to but I’m getting better every day. ACC isn’t for everyone but I think once you know it’s weak spots you can adjust accordingly. With my wife and child in the car the leave it set to the third gap option. Zero complaints from all onboard makes for a much nicer journey. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I’ve got a manual. When using the ACC, Eco mode accelerates slower back up to the set speed. This helps hugely with your MPG. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Brilliant thank you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So which wheel woolies set would you recommend? Not admitting my new toy won’t be up to the job just curious. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. To be honest I love a gadget. You know those catalogs aimed at old people that sell all in one slippers and bean bag trays, I love them! I’m sure it’ll be rubbish but even if I use it on my wheel arches I’ll be happy. Will try on the wife’s car first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’ve just ordered one of these bad boys. Not sure if it’ll be any good or not but worth a try. Has anyone else seen or tried one? https://stuffcandy.com/collections/automotive/products/360-wheel-brush-hero Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I do 40mpg daily on my boring M25 journey. Best I’ve had is 43mpg, 44 miles. All non motorway driving in Race mode and all motorway in Eco. I know many people will not see the point in owning a car like this and popping it into Eco mode but that’s exactly the reason I bought it. My commute is big and I love having a quick car but I also need to get more than 400 miles per tank of fuel. The R ticks all the boxes.
  11. Sorry for the delay James. New family member has stopped all lap top time. I have the Sachs Organic clutch. Great bit of kit, would highly recommend.
  12. I have a manual and love it. Do consider though you will need to upgrade the clutch and it will be stiff. If that is an issue then DSG would be a safe bet. If you are located near Berkshire you can try mine out if that helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hello, This is my first Whisbar. I have always had Thule on my old Golfs with the same fitment. The rubber pad behind the mounting bracket is a much better design than Thule. I think they are a safer fit. A mark will be left when I remove them but nothing a polish won't be able to remove.
  14. Small Roof Rack Decals added. The Whispbar logo always bothered me on my roof rack so I put vinyl wrap over their logo and added the “R” sticker. It’s the small touches I love. Or it’s just an excuse to get out and enjoy the sun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I had nothing in my Mk5. This is very warm weather related and not influenced by the turn of the wheel. It’s fine at the moment due to the fact it’s freezing outside!
