R-tec get my vote. £450 for ecu and tcu tune, including health check and Haldex service.
plus your car is on the dyno for a good amount of time to perfect the tune.
The restriction is in the turbo elbow, change that along with the intake pipe and leave the standard air box. This will give you better gains when you map it.
Not all smoke is related to turbo failure, if you say the car is now driving fine and not smoking then I doubt it’s turbo related. Once the seals have gone on a turbo they stay gone and smoke constantly.
mine would only smoke on a spirited drive and was caused by excess oil in the PCV /Intake. The catch can prevents this..
im not saying this is defiantly what you need but worth getting it looked at before you start planning for a new turbo..
You are best off getting an up rated clutch before the map otherwise you will have to have a low torque map rather than being mapped to its full potential .
the standard clutch won’t last long With a map, mine started to slip on the way back from unicorn on a low torque map, fitted the RTS clutch and then went back for HT. you might as well change it first.
I have the RTS twin friction clutch at stage 2. No problem at all with it and once it’s bed in doesn’t feel much different to OEM. No squeaking or juddering at so far has done 10k on it.
I have used MRC in the past with very good results. My current car is stage 1 Unicorn again good results. Don’t forget R-tec their stage one is also fantastic.
