And another VW garage with poor service! Annoys me how they chase and chase you to commit to putting pen to paper and making an order, but when you want them they are "unavailable" or "with someone at the moment". Yeh, very convenient. Ive only left you 3 messages in 7 days to call me back

Precisely why I buy my motors down south.

Scottish dealers suck.

To use the analogy, it's almost like finding a bloody good Barbour and going back time and time again. It's like that with garages, if you get good service you'll be back and in a way you are more than happy to give them your order as your treated like you'd like to be throughout the whole process.

Dealt with a few garages over last few years and no one has come close to Audi in Stirling. Next car will more than likely be ordered from there. Even their services department and after sales are great.

I have my Golf R on order with Inch Stirling, next door to Audi.  The service and communication throughout has been excellent so far.  Emails are responded to within 24 hours and I have had several "updates" via telephone call from the dealer.  I was also invited in on Saturday there to pick the number plate I wanted.

Compared to some of the discounts I've seen posted on here I didn't get the cheapest of deals but it was decent enough.

I was in talks with Inch early doors when I was in the market for a new car, the young salesman was very good from start till the end of our talks. I went elsewhere for a bigger discount. For the same price per month he quoted me I was able to add 19s and a panoramic roof. Quids in

If BW is not yet confirmed you have no bother getting your deposit back, but having ordered in Dec, and expecting BW14 noww, you've a shorter wait than many here. Ordered in Sept and expecting BW16 now. I'm amazed the dealerships don't whine to VW more as they're losing customers and seeing less back on the fixed price p/x's that we put in. Mine will have slipped 12 weeks, delaying March 1st delivery by 10 weeks, it will probably fetch £500 less on the used forecourt as a result,

why are you being made to wait so long mate?! i don't mean to piss you off, but i ordered mid-Sept and I'm collecting tomorrow - and even i think they took the Michael!!! how is yours so long?! Dynaudio by any chance? that's supposedly causing further delays

yeah, it's that 'i have your money and now i don't care' mentality that really makes me resent dealers... :fight:

I wonder how soon my dealership will be able to actually get my car delivered? I have a dread that they'll be saying something like "OK, our next available delivery slots are either September 24th or December 19th. Which would be the most convenient for you?"

haha, it takes long but not quite that long!

my dealer was gonna organise it yesterday for delivery 'end of next week or start of following', so that's 7 - 14 days... pretty ridiculous really! but depends on the dealer, how close you are etc i suppose... they aren't gonna deliver your vehicle alone, they'll want it to be delivered with a batch of vehicles for cost efficiency

all dealers suck... money-making schemes with almost zero customer care once they have your money :undecided:

especially VW ones! when something goes wrong with your car, VW just love to tell you 'i didn't hear it' or 'that's normal', i can't stand that!

Avonvale Honda Coventry stands out as my most-favourite dealership, absolutely top service! and i know the sales guy... will definitely get a blast in the new Type R   :cheesy:

hurry up 14:00 tomorrow

Doesn't anyone else feel let down that having waited months for your car to get built and the relentless page refreshes to see it progress through 7 stages, the final status only gets you to "nearly there"

No, I'd be more than happy to have mine sitting there right now instead of Stage 3..  :cheesy:  :cheesy:

I added Prets to my order, and that kicked my estimated build week back 8 weeks. My car had already slumped from BW4 to BW8 just before I added Prets, way back in November, now sitting at BW16.

I'm glad i'm not driving a complete crapbox in the meantime, the GTD is doing alright, but my already slippery Bridgestones are rapidly approaching the limits of legality, last thing I want is have to put a shiny new pair of tyres on right before I p/x.
