429BEN Posted February 17, 2015 Report Share Posted February 17, 2015 For those of you that saw or heard about my very unfortunate event yesterday (undelivered damaged Golf R)... It was all a windup! My broker (was my friend) thought it would be funny to get everyone in on a very unsavoury gag involving my car being damaged the week it was due to be delivered. That fact of the matter is that my car has not been damaged and is in fact being delivered on Friday. Obviously being distressed I made a number of phone calls to VWFS. The think the dealer may be receiving an unexpected phone call this morning This is the second prank involving my car he has got me with! Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. He'll get a right going over for that I reckon Reminds me of a friend who worked at the airport as one of the people who unloads your luggage, and he knew another friend was travelling. I was told I would be in it be end of March by the stealer, it is more likely May, where do I stand getting my deposit back, as I am thinking of buying a second hand one. stevai Posted February 17, 2015 Report Share Posted February 17, 2015 You shouldn't have any trouble getting your deposit back mate, it's all fairly routine for the stealers and you're not committed at this stage (whatever anyone else tells you). That said do you really want to cancel for the sake of 4 weeks? I think pretty much everyone (with a few exceptions) has had the exact same experience. I ordered end of October and was told BW5. Ended up with BW10, now confirmed. From what everyone else says, it is apparently worth the wait, even if it's frustrating in the meantime. More or less told the salesman we would be buying that week. He said he would call back asap. Got a call three weeks later!! Oddly enough had already bought elsewhere. As for the r.
