Decided it was time to upgrade my ageing Metrovac car dryer, as the car dryer game has moved on in the last 10 years with much more powerful models around now. Narrowed it down to between the Blo Air-GT and the Rokit Resolution 2. Decided to go for the Rokit as it’s slightly better on CFM/CFM than the Blo, but otherwise they are much the same. im still using my milwaukee leaf blower with the reducers. That's great Becs! That's what I need. Honestly the amount of times I've spent hours looking at buying one of these to then not because I don't know what I'm looking at. I should follow your lead, but they are about £250 🥴 I'm just thinking my neighbours will definitely think I've lost it 😂 it was only last week I was out the front of my house vacuuming up bark from my cream Cotswold stone garden path 😂 I got a few strange looks. They aren’t cheap Kev, that’s for sure, although you can get different versions at lower price points. I wanted a high power one with a few extras so splurged £239. https://rokitdryer.co.uk/products/rokit-resolution-2-car-dryer?srsltid=AfmBOopWR_nJ-JSTVQDpKS_5Nvou7nnBpeF0nROyq64iZxX52TLQIBNb Life is too short to care what the neighbours think. So what if they mock you for getting a big hairdryer for your car. 🤣 I’d been wavering for a few weeks on buying one, mainly because already have a car dryer (which is a combined dryer/vac), so I kept talking myself out of it, but that is much less powerful than today’s dryers and doesn’t have many of the features they have. I’ve had it 10 years and will still use that for vacuuming (which I use weekly) but the lure of a more powerful dryer, on wheels and that warms the air, proved too much to resist. 😄 Some people use pet dryers too. And leaf blowers. But I wanted a dedicated car dryer on wheels, that you don’t have to lug around by hand. Nighthawk

mahalo
Picked up the Boot liner from my local VW dealer today and ordered the Black Edition Osram LED Dynamic Indicators part number is V5HO 052 215. I then tried to order Gloss Black Mirror caps using the BE VIN number that Rebecca kindly let me use. Unfortunately if you put this into the VW part system then it lists the mirror caps in primer as the compatible part so they would have to be sprayed on receipt. I had been doing some browsing on LLPARTS and had found three part numbers from there for Carbon look mirror caps, Gloss Black mirror caps and Matt Silver mirror caps which according to LLPARTS fit but when we checked the VW parts description they were not compatible with vehicles which have Lane Assist. So it looks like if you want OEM Gloss Black mirror caps you have to order the primer version and get the dealer or a paint shop to spray them gloss black. Yep, for some annoying reason, VW only do the gloss-black caps for cars that don't have side-assist! You can only get them primed for side-assist equipped cars. A much cheaper alternative (and a lot less faff) is to get a pair of caps off AliExpress for about £40. I've done this twice, on my MK8 and again now on my MK8.5 and they're near as damn perfect. These are the ones I got: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002022435575.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.4.25a31802vK6VbM

I’m a Milwaukee fan boy so already have the batteries. I can’t say if it’s better than Rebecca’s new purchase as I’ve never used one. However I won’t be buying one as this does the job quite easily. Rebecca’s has the flexibility pipe to get into those intricate places. However my Milwaukee has enough juice to blow away all water anyway. Also the Milwaukee is cordless. Car dry in under 3 mins top to bottom 👍Just to add if you were a full time detailer then the Rokit would possibly be the way to go? But for us mere mortals i think my milwaukee is more than adequate Plus your neighbours will think your just like any other normal person and just blowing leaves away LOL https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChsSEwj6ndKaoayMAxVZmFAGHZFUKPAYACICCAEQDxoCZGc&co=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-p3SmqGsjAMVWZhQBh2RVCjwEAQYBSABEgIa1PD_BwE&cit=EAIaIQobChMI-p3SmqGsjAMVWZhQBh2RVCjwEAQYBSABEgIa1PD_BwE&ei=mVDmZ-b-AonPhbIPosm_oQw&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAASJeRokUYT_mseJpkOAu5sMK1dPea3Vg_VHOIA3P0lRVYJ3LRpJEA&sig=AOD64_2zC5J9NxwMZtvz999_jNhrTrYTfQ&ctype=5&q=&sqi=2&ved=2ahUKEwimr82aoayMAxWJZ0EAHaLkL8QQwg8oAHoECAYQOw&adurl= Nighthawk
