  1. The Mk6 is quite well Known on this Forum: VW TT build thread - Page 26 - 6R Members Rides - VWROC - VW R Owners Club
  2. 600BHP R32 Turbo ABT Stage2 Mk6 MK6 Stage 3 400BHP Golf Mk7 Stage 3 (V5 Turbo 540BHP) Present Car MK7.5 Stage 3 (V5 Turbo 540BHP)
  3. Hi Chris Looks a well built Car with no expense spared when it was done. Only thing that would concern me is I believe Guy who originally had all the work done (Tony) sold it about 12 Months ago and not sure if it would have had the same amount of attention and money spent on it like the enthusiast Tony was (Failed MOT February 22 on Both Front Tyres + Couple of Advisories) and I think I did see it For sale around July time so not sure if that's the same guy selling it or it's changing hands a bit to frequent. (Is the Sellers name on the V5 and if so how long have they owned it) Have you Sold you Stage 3 R?
  4. Thanks Criminal that it doesn't get used anything like it was built for as It sits in my Garage most of the time (4 1/2 Years Old and less than 10,000 Miles) I'm based near Loughborough Leicestershire and your welcome to look at the setup although with a Pan Roof and the problems some people have had with them cracking I'm very careful when the Car needs jacking up
  5. I have the Reyland Track 6 Pot CP9040 with 375mm Floating Disc's and OZ Racing Formula HLT's 19"x 8'5 ET47 Have 10mm Spacers but think they would clear the Calipers even without them Had VBT 390mm Disc's before and although they cleared my Spilbergs bit to close on the OZ's so changed my BBK for the Reyland Setup. Cars is Just for Road use so although I'm Stage 3 it might be slightly overkill the one thing I have noticed compared with the VBT BBK is the movement on the Pads when going into Reverse (or back again) the slight play in the pads gives a slight clunk each time which you do get use to but is quite noticeable (and common) both setup's fantastic Stopping power
  6. New Wheels are 19" that's why I had to reduce the Disc size (From 392mm VBT Kit to 378mm Reyland) it now gives the clearance I'm comfortable with. The clunk is a Noise that is only heard (and not that bad forget about it most of the time) when you go into Reverse and brake as the pads grip the Disc and move slightly in the opposite direction (No noise if you don't Brake) Engine Mods are V5 Turbo with WMI and all hardware with plenty of Handling and Cosmetic mods as well (Over £20K spent inc Labour) all work carried out by VRS and mapped by MRC as others have said thou not worth chasing numbers unless your Tracking or Going down the Drag Strip as anything above about 500bhp is probably a timebomb waiting to happen without internal upgrades mine is still Stock a engine and as I only do about 2000 miles a year and Drive like Miss Daisy 90% of the time I hoping I'm not going to be hit with a Big Bill if anything ever does go Bang
  7. I have the Reyland 378mm Kit (Lower Photo) Changed it from the 392mm VBT setup that was on the Car when I purchased it reason was that the 19" Spielbergs cleared the Calipers with about 1.5mm to spare but as I wanted to change the wheels I was finding that most 19" Wheels were nearly touching (inside Diameter of wheel on top and bottom of Caliper) So if your Running 18" Wheels think the Reyland 378mm Kit might be to big other thing I found on the Reyland kit is as it's Track focused there's a noticeable clunk when going back and forward (Brake Pad movement)
  8. I have a Vorsprung Edition on order and the price has dropped £500 due to the 360 Degree Option being withdrawn
  9. Think it's out of your Budget but if you could fine the extra probably one of the best Stage 3 Cars that you'll find at the moment for sale My Golf R for sale - TorqueCarz Nothing to do with me and don't know the Car but if I didn't already own a fantastic Stage 3 Car would certainly consider it
  10. Think the Magazine write up is about 3 years old and guy who owned it sold it not long after publication (To a Car Raffle Company) was well built/looked after by him I believe but has popped up on couple of Facebook groups since then not sure how many owners it's had since he sold it but don't think it will have had the same care and attention during his ownership.
  11. Considering an RS3 when the books open but would prefer a 2/3 Door Car so as the M2xDrive (If they go 4WD) is well over 12 Months away (Probably same before Customers ordering now will be in an RS3) had a look at the the M4 Competition xDrive With Discount Best Price was just under £74K but when you realise you should be able to pick up a 21 Plate M5 (Over £10200 List) Showroom Car with less than 1000 Miles on the Clock for about £2/3K more makes the M5 a Bargain if you can afford the running Costs
  12. Hi Mate not sure if you've looked at 2nd Hand Prices lately but reckon WBAC would give more than what your asking and with the options the specialist Dealers probably even more (WBAC are offering £25440 for my October 17 9000 Mile Car) If your on Facebook and not a member of the Golf R (MK 7 7.5 & 8 ) Group get yourself on there as lots of Dealers looking for Stock or you may even get a Private sale for nearer £26/27K
  13. I've just ordered same kit but with the 375 x 32 Disc's (got 356 Disc's on rear so feel a larger front is needed for my OCD 😁) Ferodo DS2500 Pads should arrive in about 2-3 weeks
  14. Lol Have a brand new set of B16's waiting to go on since Christmas and my OZ's are sitting gathering Dust wrapped in P4S's until I get the BBK sorted Roof Wrap planed as well as Tyre Pressure Monitoring System in the pipeline (When does moding ever stop lol) Glad your enjoying the extra power again these Cars even in std form represent fantastic value for the money so Stage 3 takes some beating and with my present Car and our old Stage 3 mk6 can't think of many Cars I've enjoyed as much
  15. Probably going with similar to yours Reyland 6 Pot 375mm Disc's although looks like the New RS3 might be Launched soon so might hold off on the Mods for the R if I could be in one before the end of the Year.
  16. Got a set of these coming off my Car in the next few weeks: Vagbremtechnic Front Brake Kit - 6 Piston AP Racing Caliper - 390x34mm 2-pc Discs - Ferodo DS2500 - Awesome GTI - Volkswagen Audi Group Specialists Reason for Change is not many 19" Wheels will clear the Calipers so looking to change my Spielberg's to these:
  17. Happened both times when I was coming to a complete stop replaced the RS3 brackets with a pair from KillerBrakes Steel and same as the OEM's from the R8
  18. My Stage 2 + 8P RS3 Brackets were supplied by polish Company who I think no longer in business
  19. Build Thread for the Car when done by vw tt is here: VW TT build thread - 6R Members Rides - VWROC - VW R Owners Club may have some details of his Set-up but would recommend using killerbrakes for the carrier brackets as I have this happen Twice with the Alloy ones: BBK Check - Modifying your Golf R MK6 - VWROC - VW R Owners Club
  20. Bought this last year off the Prize Winner: https://dreamcargiveaways.co.uk/current-competitions/2018-golf-r-540hp/?fbclid=IwAR0C_R38DppkXRDwzLlgPGJqJYBN4TlXxM_nbCCKqKPg3asCtAdLZ3NtJXU
  21. Thanks for that although went ahead and Purchased them last year anyway not quite as good as your price but ended up paying just under £1260 inc Delivery
  22. I'm Alright thanks Chris Just got the Golf R now Sold the RS3 Last Year as didn't like having it sitting around on show after the aggravated burglary for the last one so let it go to a Trader for £16K Got the Bilstein's ready to go on the Golf as well as a Set of OZ's but probably end up Going for the New RS3 when there launched Just as I get the Golf to perfection lol Hope your well Mate and are you still a R Owner?
  23. I'm in the Vulnerable Group so Shielding at the moment therefore be after the Vaccine before I'll Know if there going to need Changing they Look so Good be hard choice Wheels or Brakes although think Reyland 380 Should look as good with similar Results
  24. Suppose my Car is more for the Cosmetic Look (Stage 3 with a long-term fuel average of over 30mpg lol) so had the Backs to match (356 Rears) If you do consider the 6 Pot Setup and your in no rush may be changing mine to a different KIt when I Can get out to Check if my New OZ's are a bit to close for comfort
