  1. I’ve removed and refitted seats in the mk7 many times and sadly I can’t see anyway to make them go lower as the rails bolt directly to the floor 😕
  2. Just go back to where you had the tyres fitted, tell them you’re suffering vibration and ask them to check the wheel balance. I’ve had the odd wheel that’s been out of balance after a tyres been fitted over the years and it’s a very quick fix so long as who ever’s doing it knows what they’re doing. If that doesn’t sort it I’d take it somewhere else 😋
  3. I had exactly the same thing happen on my Scirocco and managed to get a replacement from VW for something like £10 and I fitted it myself, I don’t recall having to remove the seats to fit it, I think I just slid it into place, but I have removed the seats in my golf a few times and it really is very straight forward if need be.
  4. Have a look in the drivers seat rail with a torch and you’ll find one in there, just put that one back in the same place on the passenger rail and you’ll be good 😉
  5. For want of a better description that’s the seat rail stop, it slides backwards and forwards with the seat when you pull the handle up to move it then stays put to stop the seat moving further back when you use the tilt function.
  6. Sorry but I’ve got to call it. In my opinion these are a complete waste of money unless you particularly want to see the racing line logo when you change your Haldex oil.
  7. Sad to hear and also, sadly, the reason why I park my R on the road away from our house and keep a van on the drive. We’re already targeted for the motorbikes in the garage but they rarely try to break into the house for those, they prefer to smash and grab by going in through the roof or driving a pickup through the roller door and pulling them out ☹️ We live in a very nice and very quiet area which is part of the problem 😂
  8. Maldon Shot Blasting and Powder Coating, just looking back through my emails it was £48 plus VAT. https://maldon-shot-blasting-powder-coating-ltd.business.site/?utm_source=gmb&utm_medium=referral
  9. I had mine ceramic coated satin black three years ago for £50 plus vat from memory and they look as good now as they did when I refitted them 😁
  10. Mines had three MOTs now at VW main dealer with stop start coded out, no issues.
  11. My initial impression was that they changed the way the car handled quite significantly for the better by knocking something like 12kg off the wheels, but should add that I also changed from Continental to Michelin tyres at the same time. They’ve been on my Golf for three years now so I don’t really know any different.
  12. I had a set of belvederes powder coated once the white worm started, coming up to 30,000 miles on them with no problems I’ve just had them powder coated again to change the colour, new tyres were needed all round so it seemed a good time to do it.
  13. Enkei weights come close but I don’t think there’s anything lighter than the Clubsport wheels which can be bought for sensible money
  14. I like the look of that, let us know how you get on
  15. The Fuchs Belvedere wheels off the Clubsport are 7.7kg
  16. I would use Streetwise Automotive in Bristol, Tim there has always been amazingly helpful. Bath VW as mentioned above have always been good to me as well.
  17. The intercooler should catch any nasties and stop them going into the engine so you should be ok. I think you’ve been unlucky but I would get the next one checked over and balanced by Littco or buy one of their turbos for peace of mind? There’s other turbo companies out there but Littco are well liked on here.
  18. Lost just a little over a stone, running and riding 😁
  19. It might not help much but for what it’s worth I fitted an intercooler on my drive in a few hours, it was pretty straight forward. Get stuck in 😉
