  1. Glad your AWG did it's job as mine did. I had mine installed the same day I got my car - I'm currently waiting for them to Take it off of my R and on to the new MK8 This was in Wakefield, it seems to me really on the rise right now for car thefts. They are popping up all over the place around here
  2. Thefts in the area died down a lot but seems to be on the rise in the past Month or so, We have some CCTV footage but the police have basically already closed the case. 2 Guys in all black, hoods up and masks on I really do understand myself that there's not much the police can do. It's incredibly frustrating that I'm made to feel I'm not allowed to have the things I love, especially when worked so hard for
  3. Hey all, been a while since I've posted here but thought this is worth mentioning Saturday night at around 1800, 2 thieving scumbags came into my house and got the keys for my car. (whilst i was upstairs) I didn't notice until I heard my engine revving, by the time got to the door they were running down the street with my keys in hand. Reason they weren't able to take is is due to the Ghost Immobiliser This was in the West Yorkshire area so anyone around this area at the moment please take extra precaution The day after, I went to my dealership and traded it in :(. I have a wife and 2yr old boy who luckily weren't in at the time. I just can't cope with the thought of people willing to come in the house anymore. I'm now the (proud) owner of a mk8 1.5tsi 150ps. Don't get me wrong it's very comfortable to drive and i don't have many complaints about it however, it certainly will never put a smile on my face like the R did.
  4. Washed, clayed, polished and maybe edited a touch 😁
  5. Hi Mark As far as i'm aware it's still 1 year or 10k miles? I had my service light come on @9k miles and 11 months in, It was serviced under the VW service plan no problems
  6. I was caught doing 57 in a temporary 50, took the fine and did the course. it's actually not too bad and I did learn a little bit Now every time I see people bombing it past me when the speed limit is dropped to 60/50 I have a little giggle to my self as I see the cameras having a little disco on the M1 :)
  7. Doing things on my cars myself is something i've always been intersted in and wanted to do i've just never plucked up the balls to do it. I've read the how to guide and it does seem quite simple. Might be worth a go! I'm interested to see how my filter is looking after just 9k miles to be honest
  8. Visit to JCT Wakefield and they offered to do the clean but quoted £150, insanely high quote considering the oil change alone is £80!!
  9. Hi Sinvocales Not speaking from experience but i'm to understand that the clutch on the Manual cars can sometimes have troubles even with stock power It's highly recommended to upgrade if looking to go stage 1 I'm sure someone who has experienced this will be around to give advice
  10. My Local is JCT Wakefield, i'll report back after speaking to them
  11. I certainly am thanks Slider, I'm due my 1st yearly service this month so i'll be asking my VW Garage if they will do the filter clean, if not i'll speak to these guys
  12. My renewal quote was +£300 more than last year, and for the life of me couldn't find anyone else cheaper. £1100 renewed in Jan
  13. Can anyone recommend a good indie around West Yorkshire for the Service & Filter clean?
  14. Bilt Hamber is next on the shopping list after reading many people praise it on here I was going to wait until Spring to clay but i'll give ago on the next maintenance wash to see if they come up, thanks
