NazSultan
I've not had any replies to my last 2 emails so I'm just going to leave it now lol To be fair to my retailer, when I initially placed my order I was told March/April so I can't really complain as long as I get it by April. Seeing the registration date has obviously raised my hopes but it seems unrealistic because of how the car has been progressing since being built. Danb
Car's been at the dealers since yesterday and all forms received yesterday by vw as send by recorded mail. Today they can't trace car or my paper work and said Saturday at a push. I'll show him push!
GolfRGreg
I do agree with you, as much as I want mine before everyone lol, id be annoyed if someone at bw11 came along and received theirs before mine arrived. No idea how it takes 3 weeks. I read somewhere, perhaps on the audi-sport forum, that there were huge delays due to the really bad weather. Im just hoping, as are you im sure, that we get a text tomorrow. My fingers and toes are stuck in the 'crossed' position, as I've been waiting so long for the text confirmations to arrive! GolfRGreg
I read on the Mk7 Forum that there was a paint issue at the Factory - causing delays, especially with White R's. Hope not !!

Pigpen
Right if a ship's Gross Tonnage is 20209t and it's Deadweight is 4696t then with the average car being around 1.5t each ship can carry 10,000 cars? There have been 4 ships to Sheerness since mine arrived on the dock side so I'm at least 40,000 cars behind. Does that sound about right or am I really sad? sdg1973
Spoke to VWCS today. I'm BW10 stuck at stage 3. When I called a week ago I was told it was in the last stage of the build and it should be heading to Emden over the weekend. Today I was told it's in the penultimate stage before the post build inspection, they don't know when it will be finished so can't give me any indication of when it will arrive in the UK. I emailed my dealer to let them know that I'm disappointed at the prospect of waiting another month to get it. I am going to take a look around at alternatives this weekend. Aside from exotic brands, I'm not sure the golf is worth this much of a wait. The woman on VWCS did say that there had been high demand for the R leading to delays building them. Is it a possibility that they ran out of parts, for example? mowflow

Is it a possibility that they ran out of parts, for example? I'm BW9 and mine was definitely finished over a week ago as different people have confirmed Chassis Number etc. So if they ran out it must have been between us! I'm so fed up I barely keep a car 5 months let alone wait that long for it to arrive, you can buy mine if you like

VW7R
A little hiccup. My Detailer has not renewed his Indemnity Insurance so will not be able to do my car on the Dealer's premises. He's trying to sort this out by 4pm today, but I don't think it will come to pass. So the Dealer will valet the car instead. Ah well, better than nothing. They'll use new sponges etc. Snooky
FBF
After my complaint and speaking with the general sales manager and securing a gesture of goodwill where they would better my px price by a couple of hundred spondoolies, I was promised an email today from my salesman with the up to date monthly figures. The general sales manager said to keep an eye out for it as he would be off today. What's that? No email yet. Interesting. My complaint has worked wonders on this salesman
