Few crappy iPhone beading pics.

Nowt wrong wi iPhone. If it's the depth of focus that's bothering you it's because your too close n too low.  :afro: All the pictures I've posted are iPhone 5s pics. Can't afford a 6s buying too much detailing stuff... or I might as well wait for 7 now, but err S that follows is always better...  :undecided:

Lol.  Crap compared to a DSLR or CSC camera.

The shallow depth of field was intentional (no accident). I like shallow DoF for some beading shots, so specifically taken close up and low down.  In fact the pictures are cropped to further emphasis that, but iPhone pics do not withstand cropping in the way that DSLR pics do, quality is always compromised.  Still, it's whatever camera you have with you at the time that counts.  :afro:

So nice Bec. Assume this is during wash? If it rains and you have beads do you let it dry off or will that cause sediment?

Hi Seb, these were after the final rinse hose, Fancied getting a few beading shots before I dried it off, so stuck a garden spray head on for a few nice droplets. But after that, no sooner had I finished drying  the car off, it started raining anyway!

I always let rain/rain beads dry off naturally.  Depends what's in the rain as to whether there's any sediment left behind. Rain drops won't leave lime marks like unfiltered hard ta raindrops - risk of scratching the paint.  You could hose them off if you wanted to but you'd need to dry off the car again. I prefer to just leave everything until the next wash. It's going to rain and get dirty at some point.

For all washing and rinsing I use a DI water filter so I could just let the car dry naturally without danger of water marks, but I still like to dry off with towels and a an air blower.

When you zoom in, those tiny micro ones are the best

Shame they still haven't "fixed" the roof as I still can't open my window for at least 1/2 mile without getting absolutely soaked when driving off!!

My kinda beading.

I find if you wax the curve of the door opening it resolves the roof soaking you get.

I must try adding more of a coating around that area next time I apply.

Thanks, failing that I think I'll have to get some wind deflectors again, although I do prefer the oem look without.
