Agree, I find this forum very neutral and informative. I’ll prob be making a 4.5hr round trip for my stage 1 based on discussions on this forum. I have closer dealers only 30mins away but appreciate feedback on here about all the tuners.

Yeah I had a good chuckle. Lol saw it all, after you met one of them (Andy Russel was it?) i like this forum. Find it better than the Facebook group personally. That group is very pro APR and I’ve seen other tuners get pelters on there.

how much were new coil packs? do you have the part number? TIA Sam

think it depends on manufacturer, lots of people say they are stronger than vw prets, but theyre always going to be heavier. more unsprung weight to contend with

just change them for new standard plugs if not tuned. i know rs7 ones were recommended by a few people for stage 2 cars but ive been told mrc wont map your car if they have them installed now. think some type of ngk plug is now recommended. if standard though you dont need a plug thats a step colder. i think the newer R's have a revised coil pack? that may solve it?

no, i looked online but couldnt find any instance of anyone fitting a 345mm disc to our standard calipers.

Mines in at minute. Under bonnet insulation being changed. A-pillar rattle being fixed. Suspension knock being checked and buzzing/ringing from engine bay being checked.

My parents had a dsg model with Vienna leather that I used a few times before I bought my own. I ordered a manual with cloth. Vienna was poor and sagged noticibly. Would happily have ordered the nappa leather but did not like the carbon effect at all.

I’ve got mine booked in on 29th at local dealer. Sound deadening is on the list. I think some people have had it changed no questions, others have been fobbed off. I’m also getting mine looked at for passenger A pillar buzzing. Gonna get them to check the haldex dampner too. Cracks, chunks missing, can see all the way through a gap!

Tried 36. Then 38 at minute. Better but still not confidence inspiring.

I’m not sure in them yet. Not sure how to describe them. Feel grippy but a bit ‘floaty’

Just fitted these tyres and I too feel 36 is making them feel a bit woolly. How did you get on at 38?
