Get ready to cry.... my baby has spent so long static on my drive she went flat😢, roll on April when i will be actually able to drive her again- ive actually had to ask Hubbie to drive her 😳 - so twice a week last week she left the drive without me😭

I would like to think this car will last as long as I look after it. And if someone judges me by my year of car then I’d say it was a very silly move. Not all old things are past it

Just reading about tax and age of cars and got me thinking. Who should drive which car? Who in your opinion should be a R owner? Banker Baker candlestick maker? Who should rock up in an R and who shouldn’t? I’d love to see a fully made up clown 🤡 in one:) i’ve met some clowns Without the face makeup :) and obviouksy add your own who should be in what car as well as the R

If I didn’t have to clean them I’d have as many as it needs - but as I have to clean them maybe two would be better 😀

Leather for me on my last 3 cars - very practical reason it was because it was easier for my dog- hey we all have vices and she was mine💓.

My good friend has two - one that works and the other well let me say- I’ve recovered him many times on his travels 😂

What drives me mad is people who overtake a truck and sodding slow down! WHY .. if you are scared of them go faster you will be past in a blink of an eye but slow down 🤔- I just don’t get it! Oh and to answer op questions it’s because they live close you you and want to see what you just bought 😀

A guy I know of (not personal friend), wrapped his bonnet on the R it looked very different but he did do a very good job- when he came to remove it to give said car back- lease vehicle/ well... let’s just say ...it went back with the wrap on and he paid the extra in - not sure It was fines but it cost him a lot I’m told! So make sure it’s the type of wrap that can be removed without taking the paint back to primer. Just make sure it’s a high quality wrap that if you don’t like won’t strip your car

Add two other drivers to your policy- I know it sounds mad but try it. I don’t know why but it’s cheaper than doing it alone

I love reading and seeing all the mods that can be done to the R. And I’m curious why do you modify? Would you do this many mods to another type of car? And when do you stop? Sometimes I see a modified R and have to double take because it actually doesn’t really look like a stock R anymore. Is that because you really wanted something else? Some of you spend upwards of £10,000 on your mods and then sell them 🤔 please explain what it is that keeps you modding( if that’s even a word:) ).

So very sorry to read this. I used to think my nanny was silly when she said ‘never go to bed on a argument’ and ‘never leave the house without telling People you care about that you do’, it has lately been such words of wisdom that really hit home when you hear such tragic stories as this.

Interesting- do you have a manual R? I came from a v6 like you and it took a while to actually stop going around a roundabout in 4th😂 - totally different beasts and I do miss mine- lucky you

My area was saturated with them 3/5 doors in all colours and mods but I’m guessing since the lease deals ended I only see one each day now - sometimes he slows to have a peek at mine but most days he flies by on his way to the main road. But on my journey to and from work there are two who I see each day.

I personally would get it done on warranty, and quickly - if it is logged before the time is up and the clutch is changed and it’s not the clutch because you logged it before the end of Warrenty you will be covered. As you said it’s prob the first owner who did the initial damage but don’t get lumbered with the bill. And if they said it’s not covered under warrants for some silly reason you have tried. Costs you nothing to try apart from a day of your time while they check it- v £1,000 that it might not need due to something else. ( but reading your post I’m sure you know it is the dreaded clutch),
