too hot
I got a price from them they said they would put me in contact with the dealer only if I said yes over the phone. Apparently they get commission or similar from introducing the customer. In fairness they were approx. £800 cheaper than my local dealer, but he is 1 mile away from me the Orange dealer could have been at the other end of the country!!! I`m still looking for the deal I want !!Possibly just going to buy a MK6 as the MK7 lease masses worry me
OryxWhite
I didn't use orange wheels, but I did use their site to get a discount with my local dealer. They matched it. They were initially dubious, but once they figured out orange wheels price was in fact a main dealer price they quickly started playing ball! Indecision
I used Drive The Deal who were good. Have to travel a few hours to pick it but but well worth it for the discount...
Mat_the_w
I used orange wheels. Put me straight in touch with the dealer and I thought it was great. £3500 cheaper than my local dealer who wouldn't go any cheaper. Downside is I have to travel 140 miles to get the car when it arrives! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
batman101
I got a price from drive the deal and would have happily used them but my local dealer matched their price £ for £. I tried CarWow but their prices didn't come in as good as DTD. Having said that I would encourage anyone from this point forward to just pay the full RRP as this will help bolster future values for when I sell. Thanks for your co-operation. monkeyhanger
Just had text to say my car will be built week 51 (w/c 14th Dec). Just hope it's not a 'end of week' car in their rush to close up for Christmas. weeks 52 and 1 are factory shutdown according to VWCS. Now the dilemma whether to wait till 1st March or not to collect it. I think itchy feet will win out though. VW works Christmas party hangover car? It'll probably be at the dealership end Jan/start Feb - take it straight away or a 4 week wait?

Dextergregor
Just got my txt saying Volkswagen order update: Your Golf order no.****8502 has progressed to stage 4 of 7 (build in progress). Though webite saying stage 3of7 week commencing 21/12/2014. Does anyone know roughly how long untill build is finished from this stage? Is that even possible??? How or why would they bump forward a vehicle with an already confirmed BW? If the text wasn't an error, then you're extremely lucky. You might even get it before the end of the year. Alpowers
Anyone meant to have started build this week? Mine was scheduled 26 October but no updates available Mine too, B/W 44 commencing build 26/10/2014 - I phoned VWCS, and they confirmed that date, when I asked about delivery to the UK they said, wait for it! second week in February!!!! Hope they got that wrong. ordered on the 28th of May Noted today on the VW Tracker it has moved to "In Production" JCT600 phoned today, it has moved on another step now, "In Transit" so I guess it is at, or on its way to the port, happy days, it will be a nice Christmas present. Good news delivered to my dealers on the 14th of November - bad news I do not get home till the 25th Nov, however all arranged to pick it up on the 26th - No dealer prep required, as it is booked in with an independent detailer. Sasquatch888
Really is the closer it gets, the harder the wait. I know my car was delivered to the dealer on Friday. The guy who looks after the business leases is not back until the 3rd. Spoke to him and his colleague so are going to try and sort out the paperwork and get it to me. The car apparently just needs a reg no and a prep and will be good to go this week - I just need the paperwork!! On the plus side she said she was going to email me some registrations I can choose from....still waiting on that too. Work is going to be... unproductive.
