Gavras
Bit of a copy n paste but was feeling lazy lol. I used to buy a lot of cars from auction, especially ex police OT ex director types. So had plenty Carlton GSI, Senators, Various Jags. Some I would keep a year and sell on others I would clean up and sell soonest at a profit. At the time I was living in Northern Scotland and there was a difference in price between England and Scotland, even in England the pricing varied. So anyhow, loads of different ones, some where fun and engaging others just tried to kill you.We have for around 25 years had between 2 and 3 cars all the time (even 4 at times, getting done up in garage lol). The cars I liked where the small hatch backs, especially where you could do some proper modding, changing carb type, engine bore outs, stuff before you had to panic when an ecu threw a fault lamp / code. They went from Cavalier Sri (rebuilt engine with new cams, upgraded injection pressure and injectors and other stuff lol) the car would either be trying to kill you or eating half shafts.Cavalier GSI's loved all the ones I owned and used to come up as family saloon on my insurance lol.Ford xr2, xr3, xr3i, Rs with various tweaks and enhancements.VW GTI, Vr6, Yaris Tsport engine upgrade and Toyos = roller skate Capri 2.9, Astra turbo and couple others, never really like the Astra.Peugeot 205, 405 mi16 (2 & 4 drives) 405 mi16 brilliant car.Mazda'sVarious Mercedes tank destroyers.Audi A4's Again some lasted for ages some weeks lol.I took a Carlton to 175,000 miles from the 12k it was sitting on when I bought it.I like the variation, no one brand does it for me, I do sort of miss (my wife does not) just popping down to Newcastle and buying an ex police car, blasting back up the A9 and spending a few months doing it up. last few cars have been BMW's with car before the R being an F31 330d. currently just two car, R Estate and Peugeot 208 GTI (facelift). high probability of going for Golf GTI next for wife and a BMW 340i (when new version G21?) comes out.
