JRock_247
Sorry if this has been discussed before. One of the most annoying problems I have had with my Audi's was the problem with water dispersion along the A pillar all the way to the B pillar. Water builds up on a rainy day but does not disperse very well (if at all) and as soon as you open the window, even a smidge, it POURS in! Had this issue with both my A3 and A4, not so much in my A6. I always kept a rag in the door pocket to wipe the pillar and remove the excess water build up, so I didn't end up swimming in water! I tired wind deflectors but not real change plus I don't really like the look of them. Please please tell me the Golf R does not suffer from this problem? I'm a smoker, have smoked in all my cars, so was hoping the golf would not suffer from this. Must just be a VAG thing then. Rag on stand by then lol
ashleyman
Would wind deflectors solve this?
Booth11
Classic Golf I'm afraid! Decent protective layers on the paint (be it wax or ceramic, nano, polymer), paying particular attention to above door areas, roof line etc, makes a hell of a difference, disperses and channels the water away much more effectively. I haven't had a Golf induced soaking since my first mk5 gti. Jon R306
JRock_247
Thanks for the tip @Booth11 Did try that with my A4 but didn't make much difference. Seems to be more effective on the Golf then. Will give it a try Thanks

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I was waiting for someone to make that comment I have contemplated giving up a few time, especially when fags went paced the £10 mark. Perhaps the excitement and enjoyment of the golf will help me give up.......
Craig
Don't bet on it, Jamie. Too much traffic out there to allow excitement and enjoyment very often.
DSarge
And too many pot holes, ruts and degraded road surfaces!
JRock_247
Very true. I live in the country side and our roads are diabolical these days, specially after winter. And even when they do repair the roads, they do such a poor job, the pot hole will be back in a month or so and twice as big. Has anyone else got some suggestion to help prevent water ingress?
