ABG
They’re too small to be of much use, other than hiding sweets from the kids. Odd thing to remove though.

Reading this though it looks like my car probably sat in a field somewhere from Nov 17 until it was delivered in Jan 18.

Davey-c
I read somewhere they were removed to help VW save some money. Few other items were also removed on the facelift at some point. Battery covers under the bonnet was another one of the things removed.

Wrapped in a microfibre (for dusting dash) so the rattling doesn’t drive you to the edge of insanity. 😱 😀
ringy
Looking at the bottom it mentions Lane assist with adaptive lane guidance. Does this mean it’s standard on all golfs?? What actually is it? Is it to stop you drifting out of a lane? I don’t think my 7.5 has this, looked through all the menus and can’t see it. Mine was built week 5 of 2018. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lane Assist (in Australia it’s part of a “driver assistance package” alongside adaptive cruise and blind spot and parallel parking etc) comes with adaptive lane guidance on models built from calendar week 45. Not sure if lane assist is standard or an extra option in the UK. Over here, the local VW group like to package up the options, can’t get anything individually.
