  1. I had a cat that was getting onto my Rs4 cabriolet. I used a cat repellent spray on my drive and around the car and it soon stopped. Dougie
  2. Ive had a manual hatch and I found the clutch poor. Started to slip with the dtuk box on so I took it off and it was ok. I did 2 drag starts over the 2 years and both times the clutch stank. You definitely need to upgrade the clutch if your thinking of tuning. I've got a dsg R estate now and If I could go back in time I would have got dsg on the hatch as its light years ahead and fantastic when driving quick.
  3. Ive got a hatchback R and a Estate R and i can definitely say that IMHO that the Estate is the better car. I love it, its a sleeper and shocks people and it sounds miles better and feels more exclusive. When i told a mate of mine I'd bought an estate I thought he'd be like "wtf" but he summed it up perfectly with " i like estates, its a mans car" lol Dougie
  4. I had a dtuk box on mine and it slipped at 12000 miles, I removed the box and it's never slipped since and is now at 22000. I've done 2 drag starts in it and both times the clutch was stinking so never did it again. The cars not being driven now as I've leased a R Estate so hopefully no bad karma dougie
  5. I just received a like for this post from back in 2015. So thought id give a small update. The red manual Golf R has been amazing, its been all around europe and has been faultless. Since leasing the Golf R in 2015 my sons BMX hobby has ramped up to national level and we are now traveling the length of the UK, the car has been great but we have found it to be a little cramped. So after debating and checking lease prices i found a White Estate R for cheap money and its mega!! its DSG as standard and i was apprehensive at first, but after having the DSG for 2 months i have realised that i should have had DSG on my other Golf Rs. Thanks Dougie
  6. I've had a R hatch for nearly 2 years and had no waves from other R,s at all but I've had my R estate for 3 weeks and had hazards and a wave from a fellow estate. Dougie
  7. I am The car is meant to be at Cheltenham vw tommorow. Should be taking delivery this week sometime, Dougie
  8. I have D10UUG for myself and i bought my son Bailey, BA13LAY. Hes only 10yrs old but it will be put on the new GolfR estate that comes next month. And we also have B6THD for my wife Beth. Dougie
  9. I have ds2500 pads on mine and i had the same issue but it goes away after a while. i think the brake dust blocks the gaps and sort the issue. Dougie
  10. I have a 2015 mk7 golf r manaul hatch that goes back to VW in March17 but coudnt say no to a good lease deal on a Golf R estate with DSG and Nav. Ordered early September but order still with the factory but im in no rush Dougie
  11. Could have been me, I've got a 15 plate red 5door Dougie
