How can a 500kg 220+ hp Atom, struggle against a car 3x the weight and only 2x the power ?

Suggest something not quite right here ?!

The Yetti may look standard but it's far from it, the guy has stripped it to within a inch of it's life all in the name of weight saving, was a link to a good write up on a while back the thing is mental.

Ha ... seen the Youtube videos of that on the track, overtaking lots of (normally ) faster machines  !

Definitely a wolf in sheep's clothing,  but not the clothing I'd choose

Yeah do agree with the looks, but also imagine the looks on the peoples faces when you have blitzed them in it I for sure would love to own it.

I've read the tread on this guys build and in fairness it is staggering the work that has gone into it. The whole concept is just fantastic. There are videos of him shaming some seriously exotic machinery on track. It started life as 2.0TDI but the thing now is insanely quick. I am pretty sure he has managed to get the car down to 1,200kg and the Atom with two blokes in it would easily be pushing 600kgs so it is probably closer than you would imagine + 4wd!

It's cars like this that make car culture so diverse and interesting!
