What have you bought for your 8/8.5R?

Mine didn't come with the R logo on my keys. Spoke with my lease company the day of delivery and they have confirmed that all R's should come with them . They checked at the dealership and it should form part of the PDI check. Lease company and dealership are sorting mine, the covers have either been left at the dealership, checking with PDI manager when he is back next week or they will need to order some for me.

Please can you list which one is which? Is the larger bag the key caps or triangle?

My dealer said they couldn't be ordered separately 🤔

That top pic in Jeff’s post - part no. 1T0-860-250C is for the warning triangle.  I ordered one from my dealership same part no.

The dealership paid out for my missing key R plates too 👍🏼

just bought what I think is the rear Bosch Aero wiper blade to fit. Bosch A251H - should arrive on Saturday so I will report back if it is the correct fitment.

How did you get on with this. Do we have a winner?

Well the Bosch A251H wiper arrived just now and it is the right type of fitment and right length etc but the push fittng is slightly shorter so it will not clip into position. I tried swapping the push clip fitting over from the old wiper blade but that will not fit on the new blade as there is a ridge which stops it attaching.

Treated the car to Gtechniq CSU with Exo through Nathan @ Cambridge Autogleam. Shame it had to rain on collection day (yesterday) so it’s now got a right dirty bum and I can’t wash it for a week. Will do some proper photos in the next few weeks.

Did indeed - Nardo 8V 😍 gave it up in Jan to Ed @ APS who then sold it on to someone who is 2 miles away from us! Not managed to see it again however.

The day it got collected

If you’re like me & prefer the security of having a spare wheel in the boot, this may be of interest to you.

Today I got a delivery of a completely unused mk7/mk7.5 18” space saver spare wheel, tool kit & floor anchor parts.

I bought it from a breakers on eBay for the not terrible price of £80 inc postage.

Im happy to report that this wheel fits correctly & when the boot floor is in the raised position, it sits flat & doesn’t obstruct, so it allows the boot floor to sit as it should.

The part number for the wheel is 1K0601027AP & this wheel came from a 2015 mk7 GTD, but any Golf MQB platform 18” will be the same, GTI, R etc

The wheel will likely only fit on the back due to the R’s big front brakes, but that can be worked around by swapping a rear & front round if you was unlucky & got a puncture on the front anyway, as the wheels aren’t staggered fitment,

Anyway, here’s a couple of photos of it in place.
