JoeGTI7
I tried the dynamic lighting trial in my new CS and it's definitely not worth stumping up for. The only thing I noticed was the interior ambient lighting flashed amber if you switched on your hazard warning lights. Thats about as gimmicky as it gets. Didn't notice anything else that it added. Doesn't sound like anything has changed from the mk8 then. It's now activated on mine (free trial).
blizzard60
Hey all, not sure if this is the right place to post this. But I promised @SEAN G like over 2 months ago to post this. But unfortunately a trip to Europe was cancelled and a bunch of stuff happened so I was not able to get around to it. Apologies @SEAN G!! Because OBD11 is not an option right now for MK8.5’s I’m happy to post ODIS screenshots that you can take into a dealer or an independent who has a full Erwin licence. Here’s the coding to remember the last setting for Lane Assist when your turn off the ignition: Self-Diagnosis -> Module 00A5 -> Coding -> [LO]_Configuration_for_lane_departure_warning_Kl15 -> set it to “[VO]_last_ setting” Is there anything else that’s annoying anyone that you’d like me to post so you can take it to your dealer? scuderiafolene, Booth11, SEAN G and 1 other

If you do, please include 8.5 and ODIS in the title. Then you can add other things in if requested. It will tend to get buried in this thread eventually. Thanks 😊

Will try and do that over the weekend.
AHG
Please also add 8 to the title as most things will probably also work on the mk8
SEAN G
Seen this posted on the GTI Forum which I’m sure will interest quite a few on here there are now a limited range of functions available within both of the above APPS for the 8.5. OBDeleven has a greater range of functions available including some adaptation etc, both have a range of one click options available, but the most important one that I have been looking for since day one, is the ability to permanently switch off lane assist, I do this every trip manually as it just doesn’t work safely in my opinion, particularly on unclassified roads near my home, Carista now has the option to set this as remembering the last status set, so if you switch it off it now stays off until you switch it on again, even after a restart , I can’t see this option in OBDeleven as yet though. scuderiafolene

Thanks for sharing. Assume this relates to Carista and Obdeleven. Might be useful to those who use the one click apps for adaptations. I prefer to use coding (so you know exactly what is being altered) so will continue to suffer the Lane Assist switch off each journey. 😄

Sent from my SM-S918B using Tapatalk On the infotainment unit, bring up the main icons screen (tap the multi icon button top right of screen). Tap Vehicle icon. On the Vehicle screen tap ‘Status’ on the left side and then you can see the oil level and tap on that to seee the oil level. kevintaper1

I found a solution, but I dont like it and I am not sure you will. But there is a solution to remember driving mode and start / stop. https://burteq.com/products/vw-golf-8-5-facelift-memory-module I have no idea how it works but in general I dont like hijacking oem canbus. There might be similar products from asia that do exact same thing...
blizzard60
Hey, I’ve posted this up here before. This can be done with a modified dataset uploaded to the gateway (19) module. Heres my thread about it on vortex: https://www.vwvortex.com/posts/116478786/ I have actually now cancelled my 8.5 order, but have 2 colleagues with them coming shortly. I think I have the 8.5 dataset figured for remember drive mode & ring mode from the steering wheel, but I’ll try it on their cars before posting it in that thread. I would be genuinely happy to talk anyone through this if they were willing to give it a try. This is NOT my discovery, it is all thanks to Jille’s work on FPA. www.mqbtools.nl.
