  1. Haha no worries but it's definitely a DIY job if you fancy giving it a go 👍
  2. https://www.ezmods.co/product-page/ezm-replacement-front-brake-caliper-decals-x-2-for-vw-golf-mk7-mk7-5-r
  3. If they are paying then might as well get a new pump for piece of mind 👍
  4. It may hopefully just need priming which can be done with an obd11 device or similar. Happened to me a while back, thought the worst but primed it and engaged clutches and all worked again. Maybe it shuts down if not enough oil getting in, but doesn't throw an error or anything. Best to try before thinking about new pump and big £££. Do you actually get any wheelspin from the front, if launching you should get loads if the Haldex is not working.
  5. I changed my dsg selector and then started to get the same error msg, I'm 99% sure it was just the new mechanism I fitted as I could move the selector more but I was worried the error might come back and not go away so I got a kit and fitted it. Honestly so easy to fit you can probably do it with just the small trim taken off and gaiter raised but if you want more room it's easy to remove the cubby and larger bit of trim with the buttons too. Have a look at first 30 seconds of this, honestly blink and you will miss it! Check which kit you need and then order https://www.akstuning.co.uk/shop/home/1928-genuine-dq250-dsg-parking-brake-fault-fix-5q0713128a.html If you are anywhere near Dartford in Kent, pop round and I will fit it for you, as you can see I've completely removed and replaced my DSG selector and a few other bits.
  6. Probably more to do with actually trying harder to get better mpg than turning off the a/c. I can get close to 40mpg in my stage 2, in race mode and not using acc when I very rarely do a motorway run, and my a/c is never off.
  7. Who is doing the tuning, they should be able to fit the downpipe surely?
  8. There are some things to do on a drive with a jack and axle stands and other things to just pay someone who has the right gear to do, this is the latter imo
  9. As long as you use E5 you will be fine in a standard R as its 97+ Ron
  10. Torque Pro app running on Android with custom pids, connected to OBD2
  11. I've found the petrol price app pretty crap for Super, a lot of times it's reported as the same price as regular or not at all. I only use it occasionally when away as I know the cheaper places near me, but whenever I have I've been disappointed in it.
  12. Actually goes over 90° just the display doesn't show it, goes quickly to halfway and stops.
  13. Yes exactly what I fitted myself, you just have to make sure you get the right kit as there are a couple of variations. It's because of an American lawsuit apparently so you can't leave the car out of P and lock it allowing it to roll. Standard microswitch wears out so this kit bypasses it avoiding needing a whole new assembly which, in time, will do the exact same anyway!
  14. The common microswitch problem ie 'Please leave in P' is an easy one to fix with a part that costs less than £100 although I have heard of VW charging for a whole new mechanism which runs into over £1k so be wary. Hope you get it sorted 👍
  15. Yeah I remember a few years back a holiday in Cornwall with elderly relative who would get maps out and plan route for the days trip. He would then get in his car, me in mine out desti action into nav and we would leave. He would turn left and I would turn right and arrive half an hour before him 🤣 Most times I have tried to be cleverer than Waze ie traffic avoidance, I have realised I should have listened and taken the alternative route 😭 The basic graphics of Waze don't bother me, I like the fact it is user updated and I can't easily click a button to show a hazard etc, yes it does suggest the odd strange route but all nav software does that, and having worked for Paragon anyone that says theirs doesn't is full of 💩
  16. Waze is just as bad for that unfortunately of you let it, you just need to view the routes and do a minute or so checking, same with any nav software really, nothing is perfect 👍
  17. No battery drain to speak of, yes the boost signal is direct from ecu or you can buy an additional attachment and run an actual boost pipe for a direct reading. It's a shame it isn't a little easier to code as would be nice to get gearbox temp and haldex info on it like I can from torque pro, I mainly have mine on oil temp so that I don't push too hard before it's up to around 70°
  18. No need, just use Androidauto or Carplay depending on what phone you have, it will then use your phone and its data 👍
  19. If you are not getting heat soak IN Australia with an open intake then definitely not required in the UK, but a nice addition either way
  20. I have standard airbox with blanking plate added and holes drilled (pikey r600) with the usual turbo elbow etc. Running about 400bhp on a high torque tune and no issues with heat soak. I will add an intercooler if I ever upgrade the turbo, and of course I would run a few degrees cooler with an IC but it's not absolutely necessary.
  21. I have a P3 gauge, does lots including oil temp from cold and actual coolant temp not capped at 90. Boost too and if you fit a simple tube through the bulkhead then analogue boost as well.
  22. Torque Pro and custom PIDs I have managed to get Haldex % and Amps and also Oil Temp and DSG Temp all working 👍 Oh and you need to let your wingback envy go 💋
