Jacko-R
Who with an R really cares about max mpg? If so, the exit is this way ️ Lol I don't care either way, just interesting to know good mpg figures are achievable if you wish, of course it's even easier to achieve a lower mpg! Meercat
Could have done a little better if I turned ac and radio off, also was extremely boring driving sensibly.Sent from my E6653 using TapatalkClearly some sort of obstruction behind accelerator pedal or you need to workout your legs more.......shame on you for posting such high mileage. It's not big and it's not clever........Shocked, of West Sussex...... tweaked9107
What's all of your long term averages? I've managed 25mpg over my first 600 miles which is about what I was expecting as I don't do many motorway miles.

Ignition1
I drove to the shops once in heavy traffic and got 9.6MPG for that journey. Some seriously crazy driving that day. 0-10mph just by lifting off the brake. That's how eXtrEme my R was. Booting it about in Sport and shifting at 7k still gets you about 20mpg over a long-run of doing that, which is quite amazing.
mz21
The best I can get out of a tank using it as a daily (mixed driving) is 27 mpg. A friend of mine who also dailys his car gets 19 mpg.

GeoffT
Never mind the fuel consumption, I reckon the first 2 pics on this thread confirm that the FL digital dash looks rubbish by comparison to the proper dials of the original. Sorry facelifters, but it looks like a cheap Casio next to a Rolex IMO. Booth11, xPETEZx and T13RUN01

Before I got my facelift I was adamant I'd hate the AID, however now I have it I love it and wouldn't swap it for the analouge gauges, think it looks way smarter And it's so helpful to have, but obviously etto. I would just say, you'll like it more if you see it in personSent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Sat in a family members Tiguan with the new AID, and it looked much better than the pictures. Just disappointed that it too is very ham-strung on the customisation options. All I want is dash that has: Analogue Dials (Rev/Speed) Digital Speed Read out Range to Empty Oil Temp Water Temp Boost!! I saw my near-perfect dash posted here a while ago from an S3 with AID. But seems VW's incarnation just isnt as customisesable. Back to topic, my long-term average over the 23k I have had the car is about 32mpg! Very happy with that. Considering I was prepared for 25~ My commute plays a part in that. Not too much traffic, and mainly A-B roads.

If only the facelifters had an option to remove it, it's standard equipment now bud 😜 I think this will be a standard thing on cars eventually anyway, Does look better in real life it has to be said.
