keano
So after nearly 7 years with the mk7/7.5 R hatch, I took the decision to get the “Golf +”, ie the rs3 I purely went for it due to the noise. Really. Had the golf sounded better I would have kept it / got the mk8 R but I wanted more sound and was willing to pay the price for it. The R is a terrific package and was only “let down” (and that’s a leap really as it’s a small point) by the sound from the 4 pot… True to form I’ve got another black car and having collected last night it’s dirty already Will post up more info for anyone who is interested so feel free to ask any questions but for now a brief summary: Gone for saloon purely due to looks. Golf is more practical for sure so another compromise. Only had 15miles on it when I collected so still taking it easy but below 3k rpms it’s very ordinary on part throttle, which is great as it will help it be an every day road car (which being able to do it all was the golfs party piece imho). The exhaust sounds brilliant even though it’s brand new. Really happy especially knowing it’s going to get better with more miles too… Interior tech I prefer the golf so getting used to it still but that may be due to the latest mmi approach Vs older tech in the mk7.5 which I found really easy to use. Range appears to be similar to the golf for now, but we shall see on that front!! Will add a few pics when I can get out to do so… but it’s just nice to have it and be mobile again after 4 months without a car guy1, camelsac2002, Pinky1959 and 11 others

Be great to see more pics at the various angles so we can truly appreciate it. 😁 Sounds like it’s already a winner with you sound wise. I’m sure you’ll get used the other differences over the Golf and enjoy the whole package. Look forward to hearing more about your thoughts on the car as ownership grows and the miles go on. keano

Yeah not the best pic but weather isn’t great for pics currently Will get more shortly though. All being well hopefully will get the golf again in estate form too so can have the best of both worlds. NRW
Looks stunning. I hope you thoroughly enjoy the New Car period. Look forward to plenty pics and your thoughts when you can drag yourself away from the driving. keano
camelsac2002
I like it! Saloon definitely looks better than the hatch imo and love the stealthy, murdered out look. Looking forward to more pics and your thoughts on it.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk keano
keano
Still very much familiarising myself with the car but initial thoughts are it’s a good decision made. NRW, Booth11, BobbyT and 9 others

AHG
RS3/S3 look so much better in sedan.Much less practical (longer, less boot space, small opening) but it is really beautiful. Those wheels are perfection as wellthe angles, the symmetry … just rightBest wheels Audi ever make IMHOI still have an issue with the honeycomb plasticjust slapped there on the back … really, Audi,It’s a 3.5sec 0-60 car, you don’t need to pimp it. I think they will be the Bain of my life when it comes to cleaning it but in black you don’t really notice it so much…It’s a lot more aggressive in person than in pics too. HahaI am looking… just want used prices to settle so I don’t lose a load of cash straight off the bat when they do - will happen this year though I’ve been renting when needing to and it’s worked out pretty well actually - had a Skoda kodiaq and was really rather impressed by it NRW

It would be if I didn’t have other cars of course
