Is it only camera based ? Or does it use sat nav ? A few times I was doing the normal 70 mph but it kept telling me it was 50 , I’m sure there had been 50 mph average speed road works on that stretch a while back , but no road signs to say. really confused. and how do I turn it off ! I had this too whilst approaching and leaving Heathrow. I assume it thought I was on the runway and needed to increase speed for takeoff. You can switch it off in the menu for lane assist (assist systems), scroll down to speed ACC and untick that robdfr

It uses sat nav speed limits but those will get overridden by what it sees from the camera. The other annoying thing it will do is when using traffic assist, so its doing the steering and using ACC, on the motorway it can suddenly start to slow the car down and warns of a roundabout coming up ahead. Yes there might be a roundabout after the slip road, but I'm still happily driving along on the main carriageway of the motorway and haven't shifted from the lane I'm in. It's alarming to suddenly feel the car slow down decisively. It does this even though I've set the sat nav and it knows and shows me to keep going straight on. Seems to do it the same places on the M5 going north, but not when going south. I turned off the option for ACC to adjust based on the road layout, and that solved it. robdfr

My gut feeling is that it is a “that’s how it works” kind of issue. Personally , I turn Auto-hold once, when I bu a car, never to turn it on again. I’m old school, and use the car’s mass and momentum when I drive or park (rolling) and sometimes like to crawl without having to give it gas to release the brake (especially when parking and going back and forth). Also, I’m not lazy enough (or old enough, yet) to have a problem with staying on the brake pedal for 1-2min when a traffic light is red 🙂 4 hours ago, robdfr said: the car keeps picking up different speed zones , so I keep having to override it and reset it , then it notifies me it’s a 100 mph zone 🤣 really confused. and how do I turn it off ! Once you find a way to turn it off, I recommend using Waze. You don’t have to navigate with it, just have it showing the map on your CarPlay, as it shows you the allowed speed and has yet to fail me, throughout many countries in the EU and other areas of the world, so I’m optimistic it is equally good in UK (please correct me if I’m wrong). Nicknotts
Had a long drive back on Sunday and the car did the same, about 30 mins from home, ping, ping, ping, everything not working... plus rear windows kept going down and the central locking kept locking and unlocking... definitely some gremlins in there, or maybe a poltergheist! Going to get it booked in now for a checkup!! Booth11

I think I read another post about someone’s rear windows going down by themselves. Let us know how it goes with getting it checked out. May I bring your attention to your comment on just using the break pedal at lights etc. does that not cause clutch slipping? When auto hold disengages the clutch?? Your Waze idea seems a good fix. However I feel some of these issues should be dealt with by the dealers/manufacturers and not like minded enthusiasts on here in which I find a god send. As a suggestion is it not about time everyone on here logged issues and then everyone separately and as a group complain to VW as a whole? Just a suggestion

My assumption was that once the car is stationary the clutch disengages itself regardless of the gear it is in or any other parameter P.S. as per your issues, my trust in Traffic Sign Tecognition is very limited, and my use of native NAV is non existent, so on my Bluey (8R) I got the Ready-to-Discover version of the infotainment system (same hardware, no NAV, no Traffic Signs, no voice activation) to save a few hundred Euros on things I’ll never use, and along the way saved myself some gremlins, I now understand (same for the rear camera 🙂). That’s my question to you. If you’re not using auto hold when you release the footbrake does it roll? Does this mean the clutch is engaged? I’m not 100% sure is why I posed the question? mahalo
1. Auto hold uses the brakes not engaging the clutch. Clutch is disengaged. 2. Holding pedal on brake at traffic lights - clutch is disengaged. In both cases the DSG mechatronics are controlled by logic between the throttle and brake pedal. MrBlobby
Sorry for the lack of pictures and updates about my new arrival the black edition.. it’s a great car but I’m having a terrible time in manual mode with the paddle shifters in the different settings, comfort, sport, race.. special there’s been a number of times sometimes daily where it just won’t work.. it happened on the first day of delivery too which I noted it here. I am looking at rejecting the car but I have covered over 2000 miles in it. It was delivered on the 4th March, so still in my 30 day period. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this and do you think I will get any fight back from the dealership about rejecting the car seeing as we are so close to the 30 day rejection time limit and the miles currently on the car.. any advice would be greatly appreciated, it’s sad I’m having to do this but it’s completely frustrating, I have recorded a video of it happening again yesterday.
